Why Magic for Couples
My friend Tony, a fantastic business coach and entrepreneur, told me about the concept of loss aversion. People prefer avoiding losses to acquiring equivalent gains. This could explain why so many couples stay together far beyond the zenith. But Magic for Couple is not about loss aversion. It is about gain affection.
Good times, bad times –both of them need a strong base. How do you make it happen? Just as your clothes will lose their vibrant colours, just as your body will lose its six-pack, your relationship will lose its magic if you don’t work on it.
But wait a minute… Magic for Couples is not a therapist. No psychological theory here. Magic for Couples is a field where divorce is not a failure, but being together is a blessing. Magic for Couples is all about helping you move to the next stage – enchanting your love and keeping the magic alive!
The birth of Magic for Couples
Flo and I have known each other for 14 years. He is German, and I am an Asian. He is extrovert. I am introvert. He is loud. I am quiet. We both are hard-headed. We are so different. What bonds us? How do we keep our magic alive? Over the last 13 years together, my partner Flo and I have been our living example of keeping the magic alive by enchanting our love. Having gone through several relationships and having faced those cliché couple challenges, we learned one big lesson: We have to sweat to make it work.
We are two adults from different backgrounds and in the prime of our career and life. Throughout our trials, tragedies and triumphs, we have created a process to make our relationship work: Magic Spells! We stick to the Magic Spells method no matter how challenging the situation we are facing. It helped us stay on board the Love Boat.
Do we get bounced off the board now and then? Of course. However, as we apply the magic spells, we get back on board in no time. And we have a lot of fun in the process through adventure, understanding and pride.
The process works. We started to share it with our friends. And now we share it with you. If you prefer gains over losses, this is your program.

More about me
I was born in the land below the wind, Sabah (one of the 13 states in Malaysia), the third largest island in the world and the largest in Asia. I left home when I was 11 years old for my studies in Singapore and Australia. Shortly after University, a headhunter recruited me to work for a Global Bank, which brought me around the world, including head offices in New York, London, Frankfurt and Singapore. During a year-long assignment in Barcelona, I fell in love with the city of Gaudí, its food, culture and people. Now I reside in Barcelona. I often introduce myself as a headhunter born in Borneo, reborn in Barcelona.
I am proud to speak the top 3 most spoken languages in the world i.e. Mandarin Chinese, Spanish and English. A couple more: Bahasa Melayu, some Catalan, some German and a few Chinese dialects. I say “some German” because I only speak German to my 88-year-old mother-in-law Ursula and her mates at the residents over a big glass of Weissbier.
I am a Toastmaster, a Rotarian and a patron of a foundation for animals. I love to dine and wine. I go to the opera at the Liceu opera house. I play the piano. I ski. I do mountain biking. I do headstand and handstand. I believe in doing the best, giving the best and getting the best!
Most of all, I LOVE MY DOGS!
